What is covered
Provided that the terms and conditions of this
Insurance are fully complied with the following specifically listed
components and labour costs (except clutch) are covered against
mechanical Breakdown.
Please refer to Your Schedule for Claims Limits. Within the
Period of Insurance the number of claims are unlimited. Items not
specifically listed will not be covered by this Insurance. |

Cylinder Block (excluding cracks and porosity), cylinder bores and
liners (excluding cracks and porosity), crankshaft, crank bearings,
big end bearings, oil pump, con-rods, gudgeon pins, small end
bearings, pistons, piston rings, cylinder head (excluding cracks,
porosity), rocker shaft, rockers, hydraulic lifters, camshaft
bearings, inlet and exhaust valves, valve springs, valve guides,
cylinder head gasket, inlet manifold, timing gears, timing chains,
timing belt/chain tensioners, flywheel or flex plate, starter ring
hear. (excluding: overheating, de-coking, burnt, pitted and sticking
valves). |

Timing Belt |

If the timing belt has been changed in accordance with the
time/mileage requirements specified by the manufacturer (receipt
required) it will be covered against mechanical Breakdown.

Cooling |

Radiator (engine cooling), engine thermostat, water pump, thermostat
housing, viscous fan coupling, engine temperature sensor.

Fuel System |
| |
Fuel lift pump (mechanical or electrical), fuel injection pump,
carburettor, diesel/low pressure supply pump, governor, shut off
mechanism, hydraulic or electric injection timing mechanism,
metering head, cold starting device, manifold boost pressure
compensator and altitude compensator where fitted, pump drive gear,
glow plug relay. (Excluding: fuel lines, injectors, glow plugs, high
pressure pipes).

Manual Gearbox
The following internal mechanical components are covered: gears and
gear clusters, selectors and shafts, synchromesh assemblies, bushes,
ball and roller bearings, needle bearings, transfer gears.

Clutch |

Release (thrust) bearing, centre plate (including oil
contamination), pressure plate, master and slave cylinders, clutch
cable including self and adjusting mechanism. (Limited to one
claim only from this category within the duration of the policy).

Automatic Gearbox |
| |
The following internal mechanical Components are covered: governor,
valve clock, oil pump, gears, brake bands, servos, clutches, seals,
shafts, bearings and bushes, modulator valve, transfer gears.

Transfer Box |
| |
The following internal mechanical Components are covered: transfer
gears, selectors, shafts, transfer shafts, needle and roller
bearings, output shafts, bushes.

Driveline (front and rear wheel drive Vehicles) |

Open drive shafts/constant velocity joints, universal joints &
coupling. Front drive shafts & swivel joints. Rear wheel drive half
shafts, half shaft bearings. (Excluding gaiters).

Differential/s (2 wheel drive and 4x4) |

Planetary gear assembly, crown wheel and pinion assembly. Internal
shafts, bearings and bushes, thrust washers, spacers, bevel gears.

Casings |

Consequential damage to casings
caused by the failure of a covered component will constitute part of
the total claim within the insurance limits.

Working Materials |
| |
should any authorised repair to any
of the above Components require essential replacement of or topping
up of lubricants, oils of coolant or replacement of the oil filter
these shall be covered as part of the total claim within the
Insurance limits, providing the vehicle is not within 1000 miles of
it's next due service.

Turbocharger/Supercharger/Kompressor |

The complete unit is covered
providing it is of original manufacture's equipment (including the
wastegate if it is an integral part of the unit and cannot be bought
separately).

The following will only be included if selected as optional
additional cover items on the Schedule, and the appropriate
additional premiums paid. |

Tippers & Tailifts |
| |
The factory or recognised specialist
fitted electrical or hydraulic unit including power take off unit
will be covered against mechanical Breakdown. (Excluding: pipes,
seals, brackets and unions, collision damage, tipper body and
hinges, tail lift platform and guide rails).

Refrigeration Unit |
| |
The factory or recognised specialist
fitted refrigeration unit will be covered against mechanical
Breakdown. (Excluding: pipes, seals, brackets and unions, collision
and frost damage). |

What is not covered
- Components other than those specifically listed in
the "What is Covered" section of this Insurance
- General maintenance and Components
failing due to
Wear and Tear
- Faults which occur during the period of guarantee of
a manufacturer or supplier or items which are subject to
a manufacturer's recall.
- Damage caused by overheating,
freezing, corrosion or
the intrusion of harmful substances (for example the
ingress of water), use of an incorrect grade of
fuel or oil, or lack of antifreeze, lubrication or
servicing.
- improper use of the Vehicle, neglect or abuse of any
kind, or drive on damage after a fault has occurred.
- Faults which were on the vehicle at the time of
purchase, or caused by poor servicing or previous
repair.
- Consequential damage, caused by the failure of
Components not covered by this Insurance, or to
Components not covered by this insurance.
- Any repairs not authorised by Us prior to the repair
work being carried out.
- Any costs other than those specifically agreed and
authorised by Us
- Adjustments, the cleaning of Components or "refacing"
costs (e.g. skimming or honing) and diagnosis.
- Costs in excess of the equivalent UK specification
Vehicle, if Your Vehicle has been imported.
- Faults caused by exceeding the maximum stated gross
vehicle mass for Your Vehicle (overloading)
